About me

Hi!

I am a dance artist, choreographer, and dance teacher, born in Poland in 1989 and based in Frankfurt, Germany since 2013. My practice centers on the body and movement as sites of perception, memory, and encounter. I cherish the somatic approach to movement as well as the exploration of concepts and studying movement techniques such as floorwork, modern dance, and fundamental patterns of body connectivity.

Artistically, I am drawn to the aesthetics of asymmetry, shift, and the unscenic, as well as to the interplay between movement, sound, and touch. Intersecting my choreographic and pedagogical work, I explore how embodied awareness can challenge social norms around gender, age, and physical interaction. Touch, approached with care and mutual consent, is central to my research. Sound and listening cultivate sensitivity to space, flow, phrasing, and imaginative engagement.

My practice is rooted in a lineage of body-based dance approaches with both artistic and political resonance. I have been shaped by many teachers who remain guiding stars in my journey: Witold Jurewicz, Anna Piotrowska, Jacek Owczarek, Harmen Tromp, Bruno Genty, Johannes and Randi Randolf, Andrea Bold, Alan Danielson, Anette Lopez Lean, Jianan Qu,  Aneta Zwierzynska, Ingo Diehl and many of my study colleagues, dance friends and workings partners. Influenced also by postmodern and contemporary dance pioneers, I feel a responsibility to honor, name and appreaciate this stream of knowledge and heritage.

In 2013, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Movement Studies and Dance Pedagogy at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria. In 2015, I earned a Master's degree in Contemporary Dance Education from the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt/Main. Since then, I have led many projects with TanzPlattform Rhein-Main, including Tanzklubs, Dance in Schools, and Tanz+Basketball machen Schule. Since 2022, I have been involved in the MooveOn Project and serve as a docent in the "KINDERTANZT!" education program for adults working with children aged 0–10 years. Since 2021, I have lectured at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt, teaching Body Awareness and Improvisation Techniques as well as Music, Movement, and Body in the School. I have collaborated with artists and groups such as HellaLux Collective, Louisa Beck, Kirsten Gerwin, Paul Pape, Ensamble Via Nova, Staatstheater Darmstadt, and TanzKongress 2022. I am also a member of ID_Frankfurt e.V. (Independent Dance and Performance Association).

In recent years, I have worked with diverse groups—children, teenagers, adults, and seniors, including both professional artists and non-professionals. My aim is to impart dance knowledge and foster inclusive, expressive, and transformative experiences where choreography, social dancing, and pedagogy enrich each other.

Continuing my own learning journey, I regularly participate in workshops and seminars on Somatics, BMC, Contact Improvisation, Skinner Releasing Technique, and modern dance, and I am currently exploring tango argentino. I am always open to new collaborations, exchanges, and learning opportunities—please feel free to get in touch!
